Justine Mattera is an Italian American, New York-born television personality, presenter, performer, and author whose career spans media, live entertainment, and cultural initiatives in Italy and internationally. Her profile is defined by a rare combination of academic excellence, elite athletic experience, and cross-disciplinary work across television, theatre, education, and advocacy.

She graduated from Stanford University in 1993 with a degree in English and Italian Literatures, where she competed at the highest collegiate level as a member of the Varsity Synchronized Swim Team and served as coxswain for the Women's Varsity 8 rowing team. Following her academic training, she worked as a translator and interpreter and taught American Literature, further strengthening her role as a cultural bridge between the United States and Italy.

Alongside her television career, Mattera has played leading roles in major Italian musical theatre productions, a distinction achieved by very few American performers working in Italy. Her stage credits include Victor/Victoria, Singin' in the Rain, Some Like It Hot, and Three's Company, where she brought international versatility and contemporary appeal to Italian audiences.

Today, she is an active triathlete, runner, and cyclist, and a committed advocate for sport, longevity, and female athletic participation. She is actively involved in charitable organizations including LILT and AIRC, and supports initiatives promoting student athletes, girls' cycling, and healthy, active lifestyles.

She is the author of the autobiography Just Me, written as a personal milestone to mark her 50th birthday. Fluent in English and Italian, Justine Mattera continues to evolve as a modern, authoritative voice at the intersection of media, sport, culture, and social engagement.
